About Me
I’m a researcher engineer!
Designing HVAC and Energy Exchangers with a Focus on Cold Climates
I am a mechanical engineer and PhD candidate at the University of Saskatchewan, working at the intersection of heat and mass transfer, HVAC, and energy efficiency in buildings.
My research focuses on improving the performance and frost resistance of liquid-to-air membrane energy exchangers (LAMEEs) for cold-climate applications.
I combine experimental work, modelling, and data-driven analysis to develop practical solutions for industry.

Research Focus
My interests are broad, but the focus is on:

Frost
Frost-resilient liquid-to-air membrane energy exchangers (LAMEEs)
Investigating frost limits, membrane properties, and operating strategies under subzero conditions.

Transfer Phenomena
Heat and mass transfer in complex geometries
Experimentation, theoretical modeling, and CFD analysis in compact heat exchangers, e.g. cross-flow and heat wheels, liquid-to-air energy exchangers, condensers, and air mixers.

HVAC
Energy efficiency in buildings and HVAC systems
Applying exchanger and system-level analysis to reduce energy use and improve indoor environmental quality.

Work Experience
Knowledge is the foundation; experience is what brings it to life.
2022 – Present
Conducting experimental and modelling research on frost formation in liquid-to-air membrane energy exchangers (LAMEEs) for cold-climate HVAC applications. Designing and running lab experiments, calibrating sensors, analysing data, and publishing results in peer-reviewed venues.
Dec 2021 – Aug 2022
Supervised installation of building mechanical systems to comply with Iranian national codes and safety standards. Inspected work on site and reviewed documentation to ensure quality and proper commissioning.
Jun 2020 – Jul 2022
Provided technical solutions for control and hydronic balancing valves in building and industrial projects. Prepared technical proposals and demonstrations, supported design offices and contractors, and collaborated with R&D to address product and application challenges.
Dec 2019 – Jan 2021
Performed techno-economic studies for on-grid PV systems (100 kW–10 MW) at pumping stations and reservoirs. Developed layouts and feasibility reports to reduce electricity costs and integrate solar power into existing infrastructure.
Jan 2019 – Apr 2020
Led sales strategy for comfort air-conditioning systems and managed a small sales team. Performed cooling and heating load calculations, advised clients on system selection, and built long-term relationships with consultants and developers.
Jan 2018 – Jan 2019
Consulted on HVAC equipment and hydronic balancing solutions for commercial and residential projects. Sized control valves, delivered technical presentations and product training, and wrote technical articles for customers and partners.
